Educational Shows

Students can see a professional dance concert at a discounted price ($6-$10). Educational Shows are at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Uptown Charlotte. They are in the morning hours during a Thursday or Friday. Teachers will receive a Teacher Guide for the performance and students participate in a Question and Answer session immediately following the performance with the dancers.

Aerial or Dance Residency

Students work with a CC&Co. Teaching Artist who is also a Company Dancer generally for 6 classes. Residencies can be tailored to your school’s desires. CC&Co. has taught students in Kindergarten – 12th grade with great success. To read more visit the Arts and Science Council Artist Directory – CLICK HERE!

School Performance

fish CT 2013 lecdem med res

Four professional dancers from Caroline Calouche & Co. will perform and discuss the evolution of aerial and contemporary dance. This program includes a brief history and performances in the dance styles of classical and contemporary ballet, modern dance, jazz and musical theater jazz. The student audience will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the dancers in a structured improvisation which is one of the tools that CC&Co. uses in their collaborative choreographic process. The dancers will close the program with performances of their fascinating blend of aerial and contemporary dance on silks and trapeze (if venue allows).

Fees
1 show: $700
2 shows: $1,200 (back to back in 1 day)

Above fees include performance only.  If there is travel outside of the Mecklenburg County, travel costs will be added.
