SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP
Utilize Social Media as marketing vehicle to build a greater Charlotte-based presence for the School and the Company. (The company has a great regional reputation, as 50% of the 2,000 patrons come from outside of Charlotte.)
Create separate Social Media Plans for Dance Company and Dance Center to include existing, new and emerging vehicles as a means of engaging new volunteers, donors, and patrons.
Create meaningful messaging/images to reach specific audiences through various social media platforms: Facebook; Twitter; LinkedIn; Instagram; etc.
Track and analyze results daily to determine effectiveness through evaluation.
Create engaging and memorable social media campaigns (like the ‘ice bucket challenge’) to raise visibility for the organization and the school, locally, regionally and nationally.
GRANTS COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP
Grants Plan — Determine a Grants Campaign plan for next 3-6 months to reach organizational goals
Grant Tracking — Track all grants: grant application and grant report due dates; grant application and grant report submission dates; track next steps; etc. Keep files current on all grants/prospects.
Grant Research — Research new prospects utilizing “Grantswatch” and other prospecting systems; contact prospects to determine grant cycle due dates and explore/determine if the organization is a match; brainstorm possible projects/programs for each prospect with staff.
Grant Writing — Write grant applications, filling in known information and generating information from other grants and staff as needed; review with Executive Director for edits and submit grant applications as directed.
Support Materials — Draft and obtain grant support materials — letters of support, project budgets, etc.
Grant Reports — Compile draft of each grant required reports, stating project accomplishments/challenges/results.
GRAPHIC-DESIGN COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP
– Create/Maintain a Style-Guide for branding initiatives of both School and Company and review marketing vehicles/materials to meet branding standards.
– Create/Manage Budget associated with branding initiatives and graphic design.
– Create new content for Website, managing updates and areas for improvement
– Create Ads to be used in marketing initiatives.
– Create short Videos to be used in marketing initiatives (website, social media, etc.)
– Create annual production plan for graphic-design related projects.
CAMPAIGN COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP
Research/conduct umbrella fundraising campaigns to reach individuals (Share Charlotte; Summer Share; others; etc.)
Create Annual Fund campaigns (year-end solicitation, etc.) to reach current constituents (2,000) and new individual donors.
Create special campaigns (Mother’s Day; Kids’ Club; etc.) to capitalize on the school and the season.
Create Special Constituency Campaigns (Faith-based; Ethnicity-based; etc.) to reach new donors and volunteers.
Manage Prospect List for all campaigns.
Manage the creation of solicitation materials for all campaigns.
Create annual campaign plan to target new gifts and renewed gifts from individuals.
Manage events targeted to acquire new individual donors (meet and greets; etc.)
